Spanky Brown adds his personal experiences of trial, tragedies and triumphs to elevate audiences to a new level of comedy. His career took off in 1997 at amateur night at The Comedy House Theater in Savannah, Georgia. He toured the world entertaining audiences of different nationalities and brought newfound comedy back to the U.S. He delivers smooth and laid-back comedy that is almost conversational. Just like any rising star Spanky became a regular on BET’s Comic View, former contributing writer for The Tom Joyner Morning Show, featured on The Speed Network and was the former host for “Barbershop Critics’ on The Black Family Channel.
